Personal background |
I'm a research Scientist working at NASA Ames for ELORET Corp. I help design tools to design the next generation of space shuttle. My last job was working for Learjet as an aerodynamics engineer. I grew up in California, went to school at UC Davis where I became part of a wonderful group of friends.
Working and living in the SF Bay Area is a lot of fun and I love being close to my family. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
1. Yep
No idea how we'll find it. If we want to find it, it seems like a good idea to try to use the best tools and resources in our reach. Benifits would include a better understanding of who we are and our relationship with the Universe. Dangers would be having a negative impact on another culture.
2. Aren't we already sending radio signals out there by TV, radio, etc... transmissions?
3. I like the idea of contributing CPU cycles to something interesting that has the potential to help satisfy some of our curiosity about others out there.
The concept of the project is impressive and I like what I see in the way it is run. |
