Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Why do you run SETI@home? It gives me and my computer something to do that could possibly benefit mankind, without adversely affecting my limited income. I also enjoy the camaraderie of the Message Boards. I had never been a \\\\\\"joiner\\\\\\" until I discovered SETI@home.

2. What are your views about the project? I do not fully understand all of the \\\\\\"scientific\\\\\\" processes that are involved in the search for ET. Given the length of time that it takes for a \\\\\\"signal\\\\\\" to get to the point where we can receive it, we may be listening to a race that no longer exists. I also believe that our search for ET will go the route of \\\\\\"we chased them until they caught us\\\\\\" OR we will find ET when ET feels that the human race has evolved enough to accept them.

3. Any suggestions? I don\\\\\\'t know enough about science or computer programming to make any intelligent suggestions. It would be fantastic if our Technology was as advanced as it is in the Sci-Fi movies.
