Profile: Douglas James Heffner, Sr.

Personal background
I am a retired (1988) U.S.A.F. Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) Cost and Management Analyst. After leaving the Air Force I was, until 2000, an independent business consultant speicalizing in digital technology for small companies with less than 50 employees. Currently I am a freelance digital photographer, graphic and website designer. I live in Eagan, Minnesota.

Since the mid 1950's I have been a serious fan of SciFi, the astro-sciences & space exploration. I lived in Orlando, Flordia, from 1964 to 1968 making many visits to Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center as well as watching day and night launches from the Cape. I have been a Seti@home volunteer since Sunday May 23, 1999; 22:36:43 UTC.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe "the truth is out there" and that sentient life is pervasive throughout the universe. I cannot believe that a beneficent Creator would populate only one planet out of the billions that must exist within his creation, "In my Father's house are many rooms [dwelling places]; if it were not so, I would have told you." (Gospel of John, 14:2).
