Personal background |
Background:
I'm living in a small village called Haigerseelbach in the north-west of Hessen/Germany. Born in 1976 I'm now working as a Linux/Security consultant, alongside studying computer science at the Open University of Hagen
Hardware:
SETI@Home clients are running on various platforms, e.g. Debian/GNU Linux on Athlon, Win2k on Athlon XP. My special babe is a HP9000/800 D200 D-Class Server running Debian PARISC-Linux 0.93 with kernel 2.4 (only 90MHz PARISC, but it's going on pretty well ;-) |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Actually I'm running SETI@Home because my collected pieces of hardware have nothing to do most of the time. Though I do think that extraterrestrial life exists but I'm to too exited about that... The truth is out there (intergalactical mucilage may be also some sort of ETL, but I don't think that they're able to emit any kind of signal to us ;-))) |
