Personal background
Little to say, really. I was born 07/16/70. My hobbies are rather numerous, but
include photography, drawing, writing, reading, computers, etc. I was in the
Army Infantry briefly, stationed at Ft Benning, Ga. Unfortunately, due to a
fractured hip, I was discharged.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe the possiblity DEINITELY exists that there may be extraterrestrial
life. I'm not sure we will find it to be intelligent life as we know it, but
it is possible (after all, we're here). Personally, I WANT to believe in
intelligent ET life. When we ind any life is debatable, especially considering
government financial cuts.
The beneits of finding life are innumerous. The possibilities are limitless. It
could prove medically enhancing, bring up ideas or molecular designs, chemical
structures could be developed.
I feel that as long as we approach the life cautiously, we should be safe. Sure-
ly, we could detect disease, radiation or any other threats in advance to ex-
posure.
I run SETI because I have hopes that there is intelligent life and I want to
help find it in any way possible.
