Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If you calculate the chance that other life exists or existed, that chance would be very high. But the chance that those lifeforms reach an intellectual state as hihg as ours at this exact same moment in time; so we would be able to discover their radio-signals, is very small I think.
So: I don't think we'll find something, but it is worth trying nevertheless.
