Hi
My name is Julia but I like to be called Jules. I'm 34 and work as a medical secretary. I've always been interested in the thought that we are not alone in this universe and if I can help to find someone/thing I would be very happy to do so.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I think there has to be some other form of life out there. We cannot be the only forms of life in this universe. Who knows when we will meet/discover it/them we may have already done so and not realised it or already had visitors and they don't have to look like us. If 'ET' does visit us then as they are probably more advanced than us they maybe able help rid us of the diseases, hunger and wars etc., but then again they may make things worse so we have to be extra careful when trying to contact 'ET'.
2. I think we should transmit a beacon to say "help, but only nice aliens please". I know that sounds daft but I cann't think of anything to say yet.
3. I run SETI@home so that I can be part of a team that one day may help to find life in another part of the universe. I think the project is a good idea as, I am sure, there are a lot of people out there who would like to help in the search of 'ET'.
