| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I am not sure if life exists beyond this planet, but I believe that it is a distinct possibility. The danger in that possibility is the question that has plagued man for centuries. If there is, is it friendly? I would hope so, I would hate to think that ET came all this way to kick our butts. It would be like them bullying a blindfolded, gagged, and hogtied drunk. I am sure that we will find out within the next 100 years.
I have been running Seti@Home on my systems because I want to help answer the question: "Are we alone?" I think that the project has made great progress since I first saw it years ago. I am very proud to be a part of this project. |
