Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think SETI is a very important project. I think there is extraterrestrial intelligence, and it must be a goal of humans to contact foreign life forms.

SETI is only a first step for reaching this. Much better equipment is needed for this search. I personally do not understand why SETI@home searches in the Hydrogen line. There is mostly noise which has to be filtered, and if I would send a signal, I'm sure I would not send it where the most noise occurs. (And we should begin to send a signal as soon as possible - if we don't, we seek for something we ourselves don't manage to send)
