Personal background
Well I am a computer tech by trade. I live in Duncan, Oklahoma, USA which is a small town outside of OKC by about 2 hours. I am 27 years old. When I am not sitting in front of my computers at home I am working on them. I get my relaxation by going out fishing, hunting or horse back riding. Here lately I have been taking a break from it all and have been spending time in my garage putting together a 1974 Harley Davidson Superglide Lowrider Hardtail. I am doing this cause when I was growing up I remember my dad building one. He loved that bike and when times got tough he sold it to get us threw. So I figure I will build one identical to it.

Other than that I like going out on the town and having a good time with my friends. I write some programs and contribute to the open source community on several projects that are currently in works on sourceforge.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ETL is out there? Well it would almost stupid to say no. I mean God created Earth and man. Surely we are not the only ones here. Our universe is a small spec of dust in the vastness of the heavens. It will take efforts from the community and the specialist to actually find any form of life outside of earth, there is just to much data for it to be handled by the professionals. As far as possible benefits or dangers I am not sure. No one can be sure for that matter. Only time will tell and we just have to wait till that moment arrives.

Yes we should transmit beacons and let others that are searching also know that there is something or someone out there. I think the information should be vague. Just enough to let them know that there is someone else out there. First off we must establish communication and find out intent.

I run SETI cause it is interesting. SETI is not the only data processing program I run at home. I also run Folding@Home. I have serveral machines on my home network that just sit there and do nothing. So I thought I would be fair and split them up between the groups that I like and have an interest in.
