Personal background
Hey all! I'm Michael A. Kielbasa. I am a senior at Purdue University studying Computer Integrated Manufacturing Technology. (CIMT) Ever since I was little I have been fascinated with Astronomy. I have also been intrested in the unknown and the search for the unknown. I feel that SETI is everything and more that I have dreamed all my life!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do feel extraterrestrial life does exist. I feel that you would be very self centered if you felt that we were the only ones in the universe. If we do find it I believe that we won't find it for a very long time. The universe is so vast and so complex. It's just going to take a long time searching all the parts of our sky and also filtering out false information that we may get.

Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? I believe we already have transmitted a beacon. Our radio broadcasts and all our other signals have been going out into space for years now. To me that's a beacon. Is it dangerous? I don't believe so!

I run SETI because I want to be apart of the system. I want to help out as big or as little as I can. Thanks for this opportunity!! I love this project and I love SETI! :-)
