Profile: Techmasterone

Personal background
I'm married to a pediatrician and the father of three. I've worked for many years as an electronic technician, but now devote my full time to those three "individuals!" When bedtime hits, and everyone else is asleep, I get to "play" with the computers...a G3 Powermac and an IBM Aptiva. They're networked to a SOHO hub and the DSL line. I just got a new DVD burner and will be able to transfer all those video tapes to DVD. Fantastic toy! My favorite pastime is learning - religion and science mostly.

P.S. - I got over my cancer after a year of chemo failed me....I followed a very strict diet and excercise program. Ever seen how low the cancer rate is for serious athletes???
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
There is a GOD - how he put the universe together is a mystery for us to learn, as I really believe we were born with a spirit of adventure and a desire to understand. (I am also a cancer survivor - but I was deeply religious before that terrible problem struck me!) This program is very unique in one reqard; many people from all walks of life run it. I personally think there might be someone out there, as the line from "Contact" says..."it sure would be a terrible waste of space!" So I lend you my computer time!
