Personal background
Hello, from the bayous of Louisiana. I have lived here in the Bayou State all my life, enjoying all the wonders of nature and wildlife which God has given. However, even though my state is home to almost all of God's wonders, I still believe God has seeded the universe with His creation -- and we on Earth have not met these citizens of other paradises. I am 47 years of age, but I consider my inner spirit to be ever youthful. I am never bored, since I believe we can reach out to the splendor of the universe with our minds. My main passions are reading, music, movies, nature, hiking, astronomy, theatre, camping, travel, etc.... I believe if I ever stop wondering about life, then I would have already died in my soul.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I certainly believe extraterrestrial life exists, because there is just too much creation out there. How could an unlimited God be so selfish to just one little rock in His wonders. With discoveries of new galaxies every day -- many with suns and planet-forms -- it is ignorance to believe none of those other worlds are inhabited. I believe that humans have already discovered life on other worlds, because the inhabitants of those worlds have made themselves known to us. All through history signs can be seen in how mankind has become aware of the extraterrestrial visitors. And with the certainty of Earth persons being abducted, then we know -- without doubt -- that these other-worldly inhabitants have given us proof of their existence. We have already benefitted from the visits of these travelers, but the money-grubbers of the governments keep this to themselves. Just think of all the inventions and technology within the last forty years -- how could mankind have moved so fast, if not without help from outside our human plane. SETI@home gives me a chance to feel as if I'm reaching out to those other worlds -- striving to let them know I want to share with them and learn. If it would not be for such projects as SETI, then the wonder of humankind would suffer immensely. Beside reaching out to God for our spiritual nourishment, we need to reach out in wonder -- so we may not dwindle within ourselves and lose hope.
