Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. yes, I believe we have already discovered it, and that it is being kept top secret by the gov. The gov. is afraid of the consequences of this type of information and knowledge. They have a fear of advanced beings with technology that could not be matched by current world technology. They don't even trust the other countries on this planet, let alone civilizations that may be present in the universe.
2. Yes and we should hope that the beings we contact are not hostile civilizations.
3. To assist in the search. I think it is valuable in the quest for human advancement and knowledge.
