Profile: Riley Bogema

Personal background
Im a 19 year Tennessee resident who is about to enter his freshman year at University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I listen to Tool almost all the time and enjoy day dreaming all the time. I read various material on just about anything and i scare my summer job co-workers with my bizarre actions. My favorite movie is Fight Club because of its radical views. Im am an environmentalist and cheer for and condemn ELF (Environmental Liberation Force). I use to play grass roots paintball with my nieghbors in the heavily wooded area outside of Washington D.C. and I play soccer with a local adult club. I enjoy learning about other cultures and aspire to visit China and Russia. I continue to be non-religous and view religion as a wieght on the worlds potential. Im trying to teach myself the guitar at the moment and excersise like a maniac during my spare time.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
To me SETI is a small step in the right direction for the human race. If extraterrestrial life does exist I believe that main stream Americans would reject it and perhaps become violent towards the SETI program. Life outside of this world would brighten my spirits a little and perhaps boost the worlds focus on science and industry. SETI is deep down desperation for there to be something else out there besides just us on this lonely planet in the cold vacuum of space.
