Personal background |
I'm a 23-year-old Justice Studies student at Arizona State University who discovered astronomy about five years too late. Still, I think almost every day about completely starting over and changing my major, even though I'm only about a year from completion of my B.S. in Justice. Without a doubt, I have Dr. Sagan to thank for this sudden change. |
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
The possibilities of SETI no doubt fill all of our dreams, and I am no exception. Sometimes I think about what a torturous time we live in -- we are so close to the stars: we can study them, look at them, it's almost as if we can touch them, but no, we are far from that capability. It will probably be in a time beyond the lifetimes of any SETI member that a human ship reaches another star, unless of course, we are helped along by the very alien life we have sought to find with this project. |
