I grew up in Roswell, NM, during the 60's. This was the town that talking about UFO's was not the right thing to do. I saw a lot of interesting things in the night skies. Things that I can't explain. When I found SETI@home, I knew this was the place for me.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe that extraterrestrial life does exist but our Government will not provide us that information in fear that it will cause a mass panic in the world. I believe that telling us the truth is better than to keep on lying to us year after year.
If the Government will not tell us then we must find the truth ourselves and SETI@home is our seeker.
