Personal background
Hello SETI users! My name is Sean and I am 24 years old. I live in North Providence, R.I. in the good ol' USA. I work at Citizens Bank in East Providence. My hobby ( besides working ) is playing sports, mainly basketball. I am just trying to do my part for the good of science and of course my group, the Spacemen. Well I don't have anything more to say but if I think of something interesting I will add it in.......

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
In my opinion, I believe that exrtaterrestrial life does exist. It's hard to think that Earth is the ONLY planet in the entire galaxy that can sustain life in some way. I think that extraterrstrial life has already been discovered, but we don't know it yet. The benefits would obviously be the knowledge that these beings could have. And it could open up a whole new world that people never thought possible, like maybe going to different planets in other galaxies. As for the dangers, well, ever seen Independence Day?
I think a beacon would be an excellent idea if it has not already been done. It's tough to say what should be sent because who knows if these beings could even understand what gets sent?
I do run SETI at home and I think it is a great idea. It gets the "little people" involved in a big project.
