Profile: Manawela

Personal background
I'm 48, live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Right now I'm a police sergeant, but I recently made 25 years so can retire, but am just waiting to see what comes up. I'm divorced with one recently adult child who sometimes lives with me and sometimes not. Other then that it's just me and my pet cockatiel Kaiona. I couldnt afford a Cuckatoo and make like Beretta, so had to settle for a cockatiel....hmmm, Barney Fife?.....LOL
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do beleive life exists out there. I dont think in my life time humans will be far enough advanced to discover "intelligent" life out there, but maybe in the next generation, if the human race lasts that long.

The Biggest benefit would be to know we are not alone I think...anything else is gravy.

I think we should only if the costs were justified, everything cost so much these days. Also, one must wonder if there is intelligent life out there, it may not be friendly or malevolent. We may be like mice letting the cat know where we are.

I run Sett at home just because I think its kewl to be part of this whole movement.
