Actually this is mostly unused cpu-cycles from the upper secondary school of Grafiskt Utbildningscenter in Uppsala, Sweden.
We used to run the classic SETI-client on all of our Mac OS 9 clients. But that's history.
Nowadays we're only running Apple Mac OS X 10.4 – We've got some 190 Mac:s with minimum IBM G5's or Intel Core Duo and Core 2 Duo on our Apple iMac'. At the school in total we've got some 650 Mac's.
We're also running BOINC on our admin-tincans with different obscure inefficent wintel os'. We're also running the same account at our home-computers naturally.
As of may 2007 we're doing about 319 billion floating-point operations per second. Way cool those new Intel CPU's!

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. A great way of using our unused cpu-cycles.
2. Excellent effort.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
