Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1.
a) Yes, I think extraterrestrial life exists.

b) We won't discover it, in the same way Columbus did not "discover" America. Rather it has and will continue to reveal itself to us.

c,1) Benefits are seen in the fact we exist, life on our planet, and the technology we use.
c,2) Dangers include misuse of technology that is resulting in new viral strains, and pollution.

2. Yes, I think we should transmit beacons. I think we should send a simple "hello".

3.
a) I have just began to run SETI@home, because I think its cool to be part of such a big project.

b) I think its fascinating to be part of a world wide unified effort, that utillizes the technology we have in a positive fashion. I think our minds need to be opened to the fact that space and time are not limited to our understandings. We need to understand that multiple dimmentions are highly possible and more probable than we tend to give credit. Therefore, I think we need to spend more time and resources on developing this type of technology. I believe it will be at that time we make true progress in our endeavours to communicate with ET.

c) I would suggest utillizig SETI@home for other projects that people may be interested in such as math and other sciences.
