I'm from Albuqerque, New Mexico. I'm 38 years old. I'm a Network Administrator. I'm proud to be a part of a program that could eventually help
to make the greatest discovery of all time. I belive that we are very close to
that discovery. More of us should encourage friends and families to join in this envevour. For truly, when we are united, then our strengh can be seen! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I belive extraterrestrial life exists! The sheer math points to that fact. I feel sad about the fact that, in the long time line of this great discovery, we have barely started the search.
How will we discover it? I hope that we use a "fleet of robots" that would
be launched as wings or groups to check out the "strongest hits" of intelligent
signals thru out the galaxy, at that time. Fully automated (with A.I.),rechargable and self repairing, these units would move on with the search.
The benifits would be quite an advancement to mankind. Can man handle this type of discovery? Doubtfull. On our planets we are still ruled by the elements, disease and our own downtrodding. Maybe we are just not ready as a
people and this is not the best time for a child to comprehend this, vast and wounderous universe that is our home.
One day though, we will be one people with one voice. I think that, when we are there then we will be willing to belive in our distant breatheren. |
