Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I read about this in a popular-science magazine, named \\\\\\\\\\\\\\"kijk\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", and decided to join, because I believe in the possibility of extraterrestrial life. I hope that extraterrestrial life will be discovered in my lifetime, and that it will be a usefull discovery. By that I mean to say that we will have an open mind for it, and that we won\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t treat the origin of the signal as an enemie. I also feel it would be right to send out a beacon, but I think it should be a message in general, and not a fully detailed message, so we can have a headstart if they do turn out to be hostile. I run this beause I don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t use the full capacities of my computer all the time.
