Personal background
Computer Guru turned Inkjet King. It pays a few bills and hopefully we can get enough stores to change the world. When not working, I play bridge for fun. Inkjet is my passion and bridge is my hobby. Or is it the other way around? Now if only I could get bridge to pay the bills......
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI is like fish, I do it for the halibut. The chance of actually hearing and discovering ETs is probably more remote than finding an Odd Perfect Number. However, you never know and you won't really know until you try. I make an analogy that its like trying to prove a god exists. Either 1) there is no god and no proof, 2) there is a god and there is no proof, or 3) there is a god and proof but it just hasn't been discovered yet. Many who want to believe continue to try and answer this and other questions. My answer will come if it can be resolved what happened before the Big Bang. Where did the Big Bang come from? Was it created? Has there been an infinite number of Big Bangs? What about Entropy? Either Entropy is conserved or there was a starting point.

Don't get me wrong, I have absolutely no doubt that there are aliens out there. I just don't believe that we have any way of detecting them from here. The distance is too far and the signal is too weak.
