Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I doubt this version of the SETI program will find anything, not because its not out there but I dont think we are looking in the right place. In terms of the universe we are just new borns, who achived the ability to think yesterday.
If there is life out there and it can comunicate they will be using something we dont even know about... yet, perhaps its control of photons or the manipulation of space itself. Having said that you might ask "Why participate in SETI then?", well although I doubt we are near our destination we must make that journey, and I beleve it is important to help in the steps along they way. This project will give us a good understanding of how we can work togther and hopefully other insights as to our future course, so good luck to the team @ SETI.
