| Originally, I’m from the UK but now live in New Zealand since 2007 – the best move I ever made. I’m married to the best wife and best friend in the world. We have two boys; both are grown up and have left home to make their own mark on the world. Currently I try to teach science to high school kids, but not for much longer, because in 2019 I'll be retiring. Retirement you see, will give me more time for my favourite hobby - brewing beer - and that's why I helped originally found The Church of Lager :^D |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Firstly, I originally joined SETI@Home back in 1999 because for the longest time, I was intrigued with the notion of extraterrestrial life somewhere, out in the cosmos, but also because it seemed like a good idea at the time. That of course was before BOINC came along. Since then I have given idle computer time to other worthy causes - but boy, it costs a pretty penny in electricity! |
