About:
I\\'m a computer junky myself. I love building them, taking them apart, fixing them.. Anything computer hardware, new and old I just love. It\\'s amazing to see how far the computer has come from what it was and how different it is from what it was predicted to be! I\\'ve been a part of this project for just over 4 years now and I still love it, unfortunately I had a bit of a lapse when I had some computer issues and had totally forgotten about it until recently. But back on the train we get, I like this new BOINC project :)

Those that are computer junkies like me will appreciate the following (although I\\'m a little pissed I just bought this and AM2\\'s are starting to come out haha, oh well!):

AMD Athlon FX-60
1GB DDR400 (Another gig coming soon)
ATI Radeon X1900XTX
Abit KN8-SLI (Thinking about moving over to an abit or gigabyte Crossfire instead)
Western Digital Raptor X (10,000rpm 150GB drive)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@Home because I love the idea of searching for life beyond our own. Space is a big place and I think we\\'d all be a little lonelier if the idea of life beyond Earth wasn\\'t possible.

I think that SETI@Home is a huge leap, distributed processing of data units like this is a huge leap forward that\\'s only going to get even better as processors and systems advance beyond even our imaginations. Technology is only going forward from here and taking advantage of it now is going to give huge advantages.
