Profile: Michael Graybill

Personal background
I'm a school teacher. I teach in the fields of science, math and social studies. I have very wide range on interests and hobbies including astronomy (of course), electronic projects (robots - I just started this hobby), racquetball, tennis, golf, scuba diving, hiking, origami, writing, biking, fishing, computers, and my favorite - spending time with my son (he's 4). I'm divorced and a single parent. See, told you I had a wide range of interests, and I didn't even name all of them.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. It make a great screen saver, very colorful. I'm hoping that I might be the one who helps discover that first alien singnal. And yes, I do believe there are other intelligent beings in our universe. And if I were them, I'd be careful about contacting us too, we humans and nuts.

2. I think the project is one of the best things that has been developed. It's about time that the internet was used for something productive rather than all that spam we keep getting.

3. Suggestions? Well only one. Get the Government to give you a grant for a good UPS, and to keep the server up to date with the ever changing technology. And if they already give you a grant, then they need to increase the amount. Other than that I think it's great.
