After donating one quintillion FLOPS in 10 years to this quixotic adventure, I hung up my spurs. However, after switching jobs less than three months ago, my new laptop is already 1/3rd of its way to two quintillion FLOPS. Gordon Moore wasn't kidding around.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I run it at work.
2. I am beginning to agree with Stephen Hawking and Montezuma that talking to aliens or worse inviting them over for a cup of tea would be a very bad thing to do.
3. Listen Hard. We might hear them coming.
