Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) The existence of extraterrestrial life has yet to be determined, I believe that there could be life out there among the vastness of space. Humans will probably not discover other life in space for many centuries to come. Benefits could include the trading of technology, however the dangers could include misunderstanding of different species resulting in the destruction of the world as we know it.

2) We should try our efforts in setting up a beacon of sorts. As for what kind of signal we should send, I really don't have an answer for this one as different signals will carry better than others. Some signal may welcome culture to investigate where it came from, however some signal may also deter or angry some culture from investigating or being nice in any form.

3) Unused CPU cycles are a waste. The project has a great goal in mind. Keep up the good work.
