Personal background
Hi,
I am from Scotland, age 60 and I work as a Research Coordinator in the NHS for clinical trials, and will soon begin a new role as Academic Clinical Trial Monitor.
After being a nurse since leaving school in 1977 and becoming a theatre sister at a young age, I decided to have a career break and then I went to university for the first time at the age of 48 to study applied bioscience. Once I graduated with a 2:1 honours degree, I decided to go for a PhD. I graduated with that earlier this year.
I have had a hobby that I have taken a couple of breaks from over the years, and that is playing with our local amateur brass band. I have played various instruments since the age of 10, but I am currently playing solo tenor horn.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have just recently started thinking about SETI and find the whole concept fascinating.
I first learned about it through my late brother and had SETI@home installed on my old computer many years ago. Glad to be back helping out!
