| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Do I think ET Life exists? I'd say its a strong possibility. I just hope it's not contagious and likes to make friends! Benifits... well it would be cool, and provide some interesting theological debate. I could finally justify a career in Xeno-paramedicine!
2. Should we try to make contact if ET is found? Sure. From Pluto! Just to be safe it should mention we are peaceful, yet militarily strong!
3. SETI needs to get a little press to get the newer users involved, and push ahead with the Allen Array. I'd like to see some effort to share any thing SETI may have helped discover in Radio-Astronomy as well. Does SETI data have any other research uses? I'd like to know about them! |
