Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
It's very curious how nothing yet has been detected. Then again, we don't intentionally beam continuous RF beacons into space to specifically announce our presence, so why should we expect any other civilizations to do so? But... we keep listening for that eventual stray fragment of otherwise coherent signal. It may well be just a matter of numbers. I do think it will happen at some point, but if it does, we may well be unable to identify it's actual source. |
