I am known as Smoke on the AnandTech Forums. I am serving as the Membership Administrator (Acting Founder) of TeAm AnandTech and Co-Captain of TeAm Enterprise along with my good friend and cohort, "Crazee" (Master of The Death Star).
I have always succeeded in life by surrounding myself with the "best" individuals that can be found and that is certainly the case on "TeAm AnandTech". It is a great honor and privilege to be associated with this talented group of computer enthusiasts.
Though SETI is my first love, I have now grown to appreciate all of the Distributed Computing Projects and look forward to continued participation in the future.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
This photo was taken when I visited the Arecibo site in Puerto Rico.
I believe that this project or one of its successors will one day discover ET.
It is my hope that this "First Contact" event will happen during my lifetime but even if it doesn't happen during my span on Earth, I am proud to be part of the "Great Search".
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
