Personal background
i'm 23 ,undergrad student, majoring in cs.i traveled alot ,studied in a bunch of countries,an now i've adopted us-en as my academic language.i've been involved with computers since early age.first programming language that i've learned was pascal 5.5 but did not liked it that much.i do c and java and ofcourse perl :).i love open source.i use both linux and freebsd ,love them equally ,although i have to admit , i have an ingrained level of confortability with linux(especially slackware, my first distro).

i have a special interest in networking and clusters.have my own beowulf at home an although it's not big right now (only 3 nodes) it will grow if space and budget will allow.i have participated in other distributed computing projects before (ogr-24,rc5-64) but this is the first time i have joined seti.i hope i will be able to dedicate as much computing power as possible.

in my spare time(...can't seem to find any lately) i like to snowboard or ski. i have not done it in a while because i'm stuck near ATL for now.i don't like heat.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Ofcourse, they do exist. We just have to have lots of patience and lots of determination.
