| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home simply because i believe in the existance of extraterrestrial intelligence out there. Humans are not alone in the universe. Some where out there, another form of life may have been watching us for a long time or is searching for us while we're searching for it.
SETI@home has been a great success ever since its launch. I have to say it's great! I don't have to do anything except for downloading a small-sized client software and run it while i'm working on my computer. It doesn't affect my work on my computer at all. Moreover, it can serve as my screensaver too! After all, it'll be really exciting to hear from some of the buzz of life outside our earth. It's like fiction but it's so real. It may happen right in my home!
Here in China, not many people know about this project. Even fewer engage in it. I'll persuade my buddies to become members of this community.
