Personal background
Been interested in science and especially electronics since I was 6 or 7.
Moved around the country in my younger days doing mostly auto repair and some construction work. Did a hitch in the Navy where I got some formal electronics training and worked in avionics. Worked in the states and then in Mexico for a couple of years designing and testing TV tuners, cable convertors/descramblers.
Eventually started working for myself doing CB, amateur, TV, etc. repair. Old retired fart now. Lots of time to tinker.
Was doing SETI for a few years but quit until recently. Don't really know why I quit before. Just didn't start again after I moved and got new computers.
Don't know if we'll find signals in the hydrogen band but I keep the faith. I would love to see a great big dish on the far side of the moon where we could look for other, lower frequency signals.
Tony.
