Profile: Chris Peel

Personal background
Mad keen on astronomy since I was a teenager (now 56) but living near Manchester, UK the light pollution is too great to see much but a full moon! Have been computing away since the old Sinclair ZX81 so I was more than pleased to join SET@home when it started. Heading for the magic first 1000 work units but still to discover a really good set of results - still with many millions to work on who knows?

My work concentrates strictly at ground level giving advice on turf and amenity grass for sports and environmental projects, so the SETI works away in the background as I type away at the reports. I don't let the grass grow under my feet(!) - ah well.
