| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I was so interested in the concept of SETI@home when I heard about it, that I couldn't wait to try it out the moment it was available. I downloaded it on the day it was first made available, and I've been running it ever since.
I may be skeptical about the existence of extra-terrestrial life sending out radio signals to talk to other civilizations, but I certainly find it a project worth devoting some time and energy to. Just because I'm skeptical doesn't mean I don't see the value in investigating.
I think it's a great project, and it's spawned something much greater than it's original incarnation.
