Personal background
Watching Star Trek when it first came out and man land on the moon burned my Rom to be a life time Trekie. I have always had a telescope since I was in 7th grade and saw Saturn’s rings then. I have always strived to see the beautiful things that are hard to see, up in space, the bottom of the ocean, the microscopic world, the wonders of the world around us, wonders of the animal world and women. I have been up 78,000 ft, down 4,000, driven 242 MPH, flown mach 2+, traveled to all 50 states and 52 countries. I am just beginning, in 69, when man was on the moon, I was certain I would be in space by now, let’s get it going, I am not getting any younger, yet! Make It So, Engage!

NASA is the only government agency that has returned a profit - the value of the contributions to science and technology has improved our way of life, our safety and or future far beyond the cost.

Our Military has contributed beyond any amount of calculations as they have protected and preserved our way of life. Without them there never would have been a NASA or SETI or the freedom to have them.

I look to the day when the Earth is at Peace and we can send them all home. Today we have a those that feel both should be cut, give the money to the poor. The way to eliminate the poor, hunger, oppression and the evils of the world is through knowledge. NASA has done more to help the poor thru it's advancement of knowledge and technology than the trillions we have poured out. The way to the future where no one starves or sufferes is thru the advancement of our science and technology, all else is temporary.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti has always had my support, I feel the lack of government support only reinforces my doubt of finding intelligent life in Washington DC, but I am certain it thrives in the Universe.

The Graphics display is really cool but demanding, if it could be optionally frozen so it is not rolling on its own but still let us manually change the angle would be nice. A less demanding optional display of the results may help.

Let’s Go and find them! Share our knowledge and advance to the point where we can all travel to new worlds. Let us continue to build a world of peace and mutual benefit. Our competition should be in how we advance and grow not extinguish and conquer. Make it So! Engage!

I have 3 servers and a few workstations at home I use and give Seti as much as I have left. I am starting a Team and have 2 friends already who want to join.

I have no doubt the Universe is thriving with life. Some think it is foolish to think life exist else where, but when you consider there are more stars in the heaven than grains of sand on the beaches of the world, the number of planets being much higher than that, to think only one has developed life to me is pure ignorance. It has not only developed but thrived, we find life deep in the earth living inside of solid rock, in boiling springs, frozen wasteland, deep in the ocean, almost everywhere we look, it thrives. When Keno synthesis was discovered, I considered this to be the biggest discovery made, life for the first time not dependant on Photo synthesis.
