Personal background
Self Description:
I am a Computer Science major at Illinois Wesleyan University. In my spare time I like to watch anime, play computer/video games, and amuse myself at HomestarRunner.com!

Computer Description:
Dell Dimension 8200: Pentuim 4 CPU 2.25GHz, 512MB RAM, affectionately referred to as Navi, runs WinXP.

I'm working on acquiring and revamping an "obsolete" computer... look for stats on that when I get it running.

One can never have too many computers... but one can have too few power outlets.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well this is where i should mention that i'm an X-Phile... I used to watch it every week, and I still catch the occaisional rerun. As much as I love the show, i have some doubt that there are aliens out there. It's kinda funny, but I'm not sure exactly why i'm doubtful. I guess the only thing that trips me up is all the "logical" stuff that has been pounded into my head as the result of getting an education. I think the extraterrestrials will discover us before we discover them. I have no idea what would happen after that. We all hope for something good, but it's hard to say.

I think we have enough problems with the people already on this planet so I don't think we should send out an invitation or anything, but if E.T. and his friends show up anyway... well what are ya gonna do?

I run SETI@home because if some people care enough to start a huge project like this then i think others (like me) should care enough to help them out. SETI r0x0rz! ^_^
