Personal background |
At the time I'm working as an ISP Administrator for my company, Pridelands Networks. My family owns the following systems:
Mine: A self-built AMD Athlon 1.53GHz system (OC AMD Athlon 1.33GHz Processor,
1.5GB RAM, 640GB Hard Disk Space)
First Server: A Compaq Proliant 1500 server (Dual 400MHz K6-III's, 256MB RAM)
Second Server: A custom-built Pentium II-300MHz system (128MB RAM)
GF's Mom's Computer: An HP Pavilion 7410P (Pentium 200MHz, 128MB RAM)
My GF's Computer: An IBM Aptiva (K6-2 380MHz, 512MB RAM).
..all running Seti@Home software (all running either FreeBSD or Windows Versions)..
I'm a 24-year-old Navy Radioman (Honorably Discharged January 7, 2002) that was stationed onboard the USS Benfold (DDG-65). I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend (Nala) and her son (Kovue). I also enjoy chatting on the 'net (where I met her) and helping people out with computer problems.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
I think it's a totally awesome setup. Whoever thought of the software layout is definitely a genious.
As for extraterrestrial life, ya never know. I know there's alot of planets everywhere and it's hard to believe it's just us in this HUGE universe.
Why I run SETI@home? Well, we leave our computers on most of the time, so I run the SETI@home software so it'll put that idle time to use and possibly do some good in the long run. After all, I have 5 computers on hand (possibly more in the future). |
