| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| Well to start with, I think it is a nobel cause. I would hope that there is other life out there. If enough people took an interest in SETI and got involved , like your SETI@home program, with enough computers processing data that has to increase the odds of finding something. I'm not so sure about transmitting a beacon, and what do we send, that War & Murder and Terrorism are part of the Natural Order of things on Earth, that everyday we kill one another and that it's alright to destory our own planet, a little every day. If I were from out there I would listen and observe, I don't think I would be in a hurry to respond to our call. I think when we learn to live together in peace, maybe then life out there will answer and visit. |
