Personal background
My real name is Christopher Le-Court.

I write part time and work as a care assistant for my mother.

My writing tends to involve Sci\\Fi or Fantasy although I have written a few pieces of poetry in my time. One piece of which is being published in an anthology called "Under a Quicksilver Moon."

Most of my time is spent working on my interactive fiction company Ad Infinitum and their main project System Override.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
My main reason for joining SETI@home is that I have a passion or some might say drive to contribute something with my life. In order for my life to have some kind of meaning I feel that I must add to or improve the world I inhabit, in some way no matter how small.

SETI@home provides me with an opportunity to give something back to the world in general. It's only a small contribution I know but add this to my writing and other personal projects then you build up a 'portfolio' of tiny, but significant, contributions.

Don't get me wrong, I don't feel I need to do this for any kind of religious reasons. I feel that, even if there is no purpose to our existance, we should try and make something of our lives. Give them their own meaning that transcends race, belief or culture.

Also what's the point of spending £1500 on a computer and only using it 1/3rd of the time ;)
