Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Seti@home in combination with Internet has opened a window for people like me interested in astronomy and all the things that comes with it - like extraterrestrial life.

As I'm certain that there is life out there, it becomes more exciting to find out if we chose the right way to search for it, and if we did, if it will be in our lifetime to find it and contact it.

The odds are that life in a form that can communicate with us is far away, and unable to contact us in our lifetime, but what are odds for after all? Maybe it's closer than we think.

And if not: we have to start searching. Every long journey starts with the first step. It's nice to know that we at the seti@home project are the ones to make that step. I hope the journey leads us somewhere.
