| Retired corp IT guy - mainframe, Oracle, web, EDI, etc. Apple user, former PC user. Not a bigot for either. Waiting for the 12" iPad as the CPU will be a huge step up. New iPod=6, old iPhone 3GS. New iMac last Dec. Not a powerful one, but love it. Sailed for a number of years and have my charter certification. Mostly I'm a Grampa doing Grampa things. Former yankee now living in eastern PA. Big fan of SCiFI. Also I'm into investing online which really eeps the juices running! |

Running SETI just for fun. I use my iPad mostly, so there is lots of free processing time available on the iMac.
Suggestions? I'd like to see the file size of each task. I have several large USB hard drives attached to my Mac. Can SETI!@home software make use to these to speed up processing? And yes, I'd really like it if someone would create a working iPad app to follow up on task status on my Mac. I can't babysit and would like to be able to see whats what throughout the day. I'm out most of the day, but have fast wifi access to the web 99% of the time. Of course I just go to the URL for Tasks when I'm away, to ensure it's all still running OK. |
