| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

When I first saw the Seti@home project description I was excited. Finally a way to contribute. Are we alone... not likely. However, I would like to tell you this story that I heard. I was attending a seminar for Silva Learning Systems. The lecture was on brainwave functioning. Sensing a lot of "progressive" thinkers in the room the lecturer ask the audience this question. "How many people believe in reincarnation?" About 50% of the audience raised their hands. I was suprised. Then the lecturer looked intently at the audience and said, "I've got news for you, THIS is the life you have been dieing to live!"
I will do my part in contributing to the search effort... I just hope that WE evolve a little before we are "discovered."
