I am an 18 year old sophomore at the University of Southern California. I have a double major in Political Science and History and a minor in Law and Society. I am obsessed with politics... :) I am also very interested in the hypocricy of religion.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe with all of my heart that extraterrestrial life exists. To believe that humans are the most powerful and advanced organism in the universe is incredibly pompous and laughable. I believe that humans will contact an alien culture within the next 10-30 years (whether it will be our fault or not I do not know). Contact with an extraterrestrial culture will lead to a wonderful new era of cultural and technological discovery as we share our experiences and entire histories with one another. It will be another golden age of human history... or they could wipe us out with the push of a single button... :) I run SETI@home in order to expedite this process and bring what I believe will be one of the greatest landmarks in human history just a little bit closer to our grasp.
