| I'm pretty sure that ETs exist, but the question is in what form are they and at what stage of development are they? I think it is unlikely that we will encounter aliens with senses similar to ours using technology similar to ours that can understand our beacons. Still, I think we have to try. As to what the beacon should contain, I think the mathmatical formulas used would have as good a chance as anything of attracting the notice of intelligent life. I think Seti@Home is a good project and it's fun to be a part of it. If we find something, or something finds us, so much the better. |
