Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do you run SETI@home?
To some degree as a protest to Congress, which stated that there is no tangible scientific purpose nor public interest in such kind of research.
Aside from this, it has a deep impact of one of the most important questions humans do ask: are we alone in the universe?

aThoughts about ETI
Since we can only speculate about how ET have evolved and how they look like. After all, we only know in an insufficient manner about origin of life on earth. However, I think that if we ever discover them, we will have a lot of questions that needs to be answered from this point on. I think that there are ETs on other planets given the fact that many stars apparently have planets and theory of probability would suggest that there are sufficient planets which could have life. Did some of those ETs arrive on earth. This is very hard to tell and I tend to sy no to this for the simple fact, that if this would indeed be the case, then biologists should have traced DNA which is alien to earths life forms. This is, of course, under the assumptions that those ETs are somehow not capable of not shielding themselves fully from earths ecosphere. Another aspect against a visit by ET on earth is to all our current knowledge the theory of relativity. Those ETs would require an incredible amount of energy just to make thea
